How Palletizing Robots Work
With the advancement of automation in the technology industry, many light industrial sectors have adopted automated assembly lines. In food factories, in particular, the use of integrated equipment in packaging operations has not only increased efficiency several-fold but also reduced production costs. Robots automatically palletize 1,000 boxes of food every day. These palletizing robots work day and night without ever requiring additional wages. This is a hallmark of automation technology.
The workpieces on the platform meet the pallet’s requirements; the platform and workpieces move forward until they reach the pallet’s vertical plane. The upper arm descends, and the other three positioning arms begin to clamp the workpieces, after which the platform returns to its original position. Each workpiece is lowered to the pallet plane, which is 10 millimeters above the bottom of the panel; the pallet then descends by one workpiece’s height. This reciprocating motion continues until the pallet stacking code meets the set requirements. The palletizing robot is equipped with a specially customized, multi-purpose gripper that uses vacuum suction cups to securely hold and transport packaging boxes, regardless of their size or weight.

The cycle time and working stroke of a palletizing robot are closely linked. Generally speaking, people tend to focus more on how many packages or boxes a palletizing robot can handle per hour. Palletizing robots can now be found in every industry. Traditional palletizing methods are labor-intensive, require a large workforce, and result in high labor costs for companies. With the rapid advancement of robotics technology, palletizing robot workstation systems have now been established.
